I got off the train alone. I didn't know where my family was. I was alone walking with a bunch of people in a line. There were a lot of soldiers holding guns. I was nervous. The soldiers were yelling, "Get moving!" The soldiers were angry. We moved ahead to a gate with a sign that said, Buchenwald. I didn't know it was a concentration camp.
When I got inside I saw people in pajamas with stripes. The people looked sad and worried and very skinny. I was in a line. They said it was a selection. A German soldier was in front. He was pointing to the left and the right to divide the people. I was worried because I didn't know what group was good. I had to go left. When we walked away the soldiers said we will work. The people on the right I never saw again.
